Our season runs from May to September, when the sardines are at their finest and have the highest fat content.
Our Sardines are caught exclusively in protected waters off the coast of Brittany. They come exclusively from the Bay of Concarneau, the waters around the Glénan archipelago and Cape Trévignon.
Our cannery is located in Concarneau, known as the “sardine capital”. Every August, the town hosts the renowned Fête des Filets Bleus – the Festival of the Blue Nets.
Local fishermen use the traditional purse-seine fishing method known as bolinche. We work exclusively with nine fishing families from Concarneau.
We guarantee that sardines caught in the morning are packed into tins that very same day. They are never frozen – we use only fresh fish.
Every sardine is cleaned by hand and carefully arranged in the tin.
Before being packed, the sardines are fried for 30 seconds to seal the surface and preserve the firmness of the flesh.
The quality of our product will always be more important than its cost. We never compromise.
